    Discussion: Current balance is $31,583.83 Budget to date was reviewed. The hoA is over with capital reserve in respect to the upgraded landscaping and lighting.

    Presenter: Lindsey Sturkie
    Discussion: Lindsey discussed the new lighting. Lindsey covered the new landscaping. Lindsey discussed the traffic circle that is coming to the entrance and that was the reason for not doing more to the end of the entrance. Lindsey talked about the electric that was added to the commons lot. Lindsey discussed the next steps for this lot. The board is going to hold off on putting in the well and irrigation until the first part of next year. Lindsey talked about the underbrush that was cleared out. Lindsey mentioned we are using a new mailing service for our newsletters and notifications. A No Soliciting sign was added to the entrance. Two no parking signs will be added to the commons lot. The cats in the storm drains issue was discussed. The county requests the homeowner call them directly to setup animal traps. The board will need to contact SCE&G again about additional street lighting. Mr. parsons mentioned SCE&G does have a right of way they can use if they want to install additional lighting. Mrs. Fortin called animal control about the cats and other animals. She discussed what animal control told her the appropriate steps were. This starts with a call to animal control.

    Discussion: The annual meeting in September to elect new board members was discussed. Seeking new members for the board positions is important. The next newsletter will contain an article about the nominating committee. Volunteers for the nominating committee will be asked for. Lindsey discussed the possibility of a management company having to be hired to conduct HoA business if no volunteers for the board open positions. Mr. Parsons asked how many of the board members planned on staying on as board members after their terms were up. Lindsey spoke about his intentions and could not speak to the other board members. Each board members spoke about each of their intentions. The mailbox issue has been addressed. A round of letters have been sent to all homeowners with mailboxes in poor condition. 38 letters were sent to home owners. There are suggestions for replacement mailboxes from both Lowe's and Home depot. Mrs. Fortin mentioned she spoke to the post office and they suggested cluster boxes. Chad Keller mentioned what the ARC guidelines say and are there for. A homeowner asked about penalties and how they worked. Lindsey discussed a few different scenarios and how the board handles them. A homeowner asked how far behind you had to get one dues before you got a letter. Mr. Parson asked if we would consider a different management company other than MJS. Lindsey said we would definitely do just that. Randall mungo mentioned the Yard of the Month and the awards that go with it. How the yard of the month is selected was mentioned.

    Mr. Wood mentioned some of the bradford pears were being damaged by vehicles passing.

    Mr. Parsons mentioned people parking on the grass at Halloween.

    Chad Keller mentioned putting up tape.

    Mr. Roberts volunteered to head up a committee for stopping people from parking on the grass during this Holiday.

    Mr. Parsons also mentioned some of the kids almost being hit by vehicles during this time.

    A homeowner asked if they live in our neighborhood why do they need to drive anyway.

    Mr. Acuff mentioned 2 or 3 years ago auditing of the books was mentioned. The books were audited Michelle Herndon.

    The board mentioned the books would be audited again.

    Mr. Acuff mentioned the speeding issue. Mr. Acuff mentioned he was going 30 mph down the hill and that Mr. parsons caught up with him.

    Lindsey mentioned the board meeting was not the place to accuse another home owner directly of speeding.

    Another homeowner mentioned speed bumps but then board mentioned that their are county maintained roads and this could not be done.

    A new homeowner mentioned black galvanized fencing and if it was authorized or not.

    Mrs. Fortin mentioned placing a "your speed" sign.

    Lindsey mentioned the board would look into this option.

    Mr. Jones whom home burned down expressed their thanks for the outpouring of support by the community during their time of need. He mentioned insurance and how it works and how homeowners should check their policies to make sure they have coverage.

    Mr. Roberts mentioned the issue of fireworks. He was dissatisfied with amount of debris that can be left over after a fireworks show. He mentioned the residue that was left on his cars and how difficult it was to remove it. He mentioned he could not remove the black residue from the top of his truck cover.

    Mr. Sturkie mentioned another complaint the board had received from another homeowner. Lindsey continued to read the section of the regulations that discussed firecrackers and firearms. Lindsey discussed the board had mentioned the fireworks issue in previous board meetings. He discussed the variances section also. Lindsey mentioned how to handle possible violations.

    Mrs. Fortin mentioned they could not pass through one street one day after a fireworks display. She mentioned they called the Sheriff's Dept. and the Sheriff's Dept. mentioned they should be called as fireworks should not be shot on a county road.

    Another homeowner mentioned sending an letter to homeowners about cleaning up.

    A show of hands was asked for about how many like and how many don't like fireworks in the neighborhood. The hands were pretty well split.

    Mr. Wood mentioned putting a notice about damage done to peoples property and trash left behind.

    Mr. Parsons mentioned it would be next to impossible to stop people from shooting off fireworks.
